Re: 2001 Jetta TDi frozen alternator

I don't think it could be the clutched pulley.  There is not any mechanism
to the clutched pulley that will prevent the rotor from turning.  If the
rotor will not turn in either direction AND the pulley will not turn in
either direction then BOTH your alternator and pulley are bad.
