Really smells exhaust on startups 04 TDI BEW 182K

Hi all, looking for suggestions.for the last year the exhaust at startup has been real stinky, dirty diesel smell, not sweet clean burning diesel smell. Today stumbled on start and threw a code, I have to read it tonight. I have new seal kits for the special unit injectors in the head, but have not attempted to install them yet.http://www.autohausaz.com/pn/038198051Ccan you send the Unit Injectors out to be cleaned do you think??? They are not like a normal pressure triggered injector at all. My MPG has been as good as always, 45 to 48.Once it is running for 5 miles or so, the smell is not as bad. Any thoughts?
