Mike, I apologize for my partial mistatement. While I truly did not remember the exact sequence of events, the BP management record indeed shows that I had in fact made you co-owner on Aug. 8, 2003 up until March 2004 (not a "couple of years"). What I reacted to was the implication that I had given up ownership which wasn't true. I have always admired your vast knowledge about multipointing but I have to admit that I have been genuinely upset over the past several years about the rift in the group's membership which I believe was caused by your continued insistence that multipointing was the dominant focus of the group. This insistence, I believe, resulted in the alienation of many members who were primarily interested in boundary issues. I regret that due to your many contributions as well as our common history, I had refrained for so long in taking stronger action against the polarization of the group. And for the record...my "not speaking" was not directed to you individually, but was a reflection of my conscious decision to manage the group in the background. At any rate, the complete transfer of group ownership is because of my realization that BP needs a new direction which will unite rather than alienate members. This is all I have to say about this subject. Mike, I continue to value our common history as well as to respect your knowledge and technical contributions. And I'm sorry about the ribs...!
