As you supposed, a multipoint is a tripoint, quadripoint, etc., where
(usually) three or more jurisdictions meet.  I say "usually" because
there are a handful of examples of bi-jurisdictional quadripoints, where
exclaves meet their parents corner-to-corner at a single point.  I'm not
the resident exclave expert, but I believe that examples are found at
Baarle on Belgium-Netherlands, at Jungholz on Austria-Germany, and at
Cooch Behar on Bangladesh-India.

Multipointing is the studying or visiting of such points.  One former
member used to rant that this group should be about multipoints only,
instead of all boundary points (all points on boundaries).
