Introduction to Search Engines -- Thu, 12 Feb 2004 07:18:36 -0800
Greetings, I registered with Network-Lawyers after reading Tara
Calishain's most recent ResearchBuzz newsletter. The upcoming
seminar "Search Engines for Lawyers, Law Librarians, Legal
Researchers Law, Fact and Practice Related Research" is of great
interest to me. My firm, Vivisimo Inc., offers breakthrough document
clustering technology for organizing search results into meaningful
groups and categories completely on-the-fly. As Chris Sherman
indicated in his previous message, the top meta-search engines on
the web deploy Vivisimo's clustering for organized search results.
Vivisimo has created a new resource for anyone in the legal
industry. Using FindLaw (the highest-trafficked legal site on the
Web), Vivisimo has created a solution that lets users search FindLaw
far more efficiently. And, it's free! To access this resource,
simply go to http://vivisimo.com/demos/FindLaw.html (try a search).
I look forward to the discussion this week!
Sincerely, Orion Wolff Vivisimo, Inc.
