As we consider where search technology is heading, let's also look at
toolbars or deskbars, which make it possible to search the Web without
opening your browser first.
Google, for example, has a deskbar that lets you access Google from any
application by typing Ctrl+Alt+G. It displays search results in an inset
window that closes automatically.
Do any of you use this? Do you find it helpful or not, and why? What other
deskbars should we know about?
Thanks,
