RE: Google goes with Atom over RSS

Which are the popular newsreaders?  Are they primarily for personal use
- e.g. for putting a page of news together the way the Yahoo page works?
 
Can one set up a newsreader and send news items to a Yahoo! store?

Yes, a blog can be compliant with both.

Also, Blogger continues to support RSS if you were a Blogger Pro user.

Most popular newsreaders will read both RSS and Atom.
