Re: popular newsreaders

I spoke in San Francisco last week and provided this list of news
aggregators in order of their rating from a PC Magazine article.

Desktop:
NetNewsWire (mac)
FeedDemon 
NewsGator
SharpReader 
Feedreader

Web based:
Blogster.com

They are used by people who want to read their news via feeds they get from
third parties whether a blog or Web site which syndicates its content via
usually RSS or Atom.

Though one can post news via features in a news aggregator to one's blog or
I supposed a site, I view them as 'info collectors' as opposed to 'info
broadcasters.

Bob Ambrogi and others may have additional takes on this and I welcome their
comment.
