I omitted to consider in my previous mail that you wanted to provide named 
contacts with copies of a password. However, I dont know if this makes much 
difference on the outcome. To protect against the event that a bogus Doctor 
gets hold of the card and calls pretending to a named contact to be calling 
from an emergency room you would need some way validating each persons 
identity with the other. There is also the possibility that someone gets 
hold of your CD and alters the data without your knowing it so that they can 
pretend to be a named party and consent to or withold next of kin medical 
decisions (for whatever reason that may be).
If you dont use a public key server, or a Virtual Private Network that the 
doctors hospital are willing to let him to hook up to, I would suggest you 
speak to various hospitals its likely you might be admitted to and ask to 
deposit with them the password that is going to decrypt your CD. You could 
actually also just encrypt the files as Microsoft Office documents using the 
native encryption of these file types offered in applications such as MS 
Word, Excel and Access. The encryption schemes in this suite are not, as far 
as I know, as secure as PGP.
