I suppose my question is... There's a problem with that? If you want a
slanted view, that's fine, because it's your venue and not mine. At
the same time, putting it in quotation marks means that you don't
believe such a thing exists...or so I'd assume, and I'll give you the
benefit of the doubt that you didn't mean it that way, for the sake of
argument.

Biased view, but you're welcome to it. It's your playground. Just
don't try to hide your feelings on it. Saying you have an unbiased
view and then expressing one is not conducive, IMO. As you said,
subjective errors, of some sorts. That's what Liz is accusing you of,
as I saw it.

Sometimes. Not all the 'news' is bad news. Why is it that some people
have the belief that bad news is hard news and anything positive is
fluff? Ridiculous thought. There are good stories to be covered in
indie/e, even in the sensual and erotic publishers.

There were two publishers who entered bids for the Triskelion
books...LooseID and Siren. BOTH of them stated at the outset that they
would not hold a single author to publishing with them, that they
would release anyone who wanted released, without question. If a
contract with the winning bidder was offered and turned down, that was
it. The author was free to walk to wherever she wanted to head. THAT
is good news. That is something worthy of respect. No matter what
motives they had behind the scenes, and even big companies sometimes
have publicity motives in mind, when they do something good... Even if
they did, the result is newsworthy.

The only book contracts currently NOT freed from Triskelion,
ironically, are the ones where the authors were protesting the court's
right to auction them, in the first place, based on their release
dates from Triskelion. Ironic, since the fact that they weren't
legally allowed to be auctioned means they are being held LONGER in
proceedings than contracts that were legally allowed to be auctioned.
