Okay, but how does this strike you?

When people go to Amazon's web site, what are they there to buy?  
Books. Pretty much. Some people go there for other reasons, but to  
the vast majority of people, Amazon MEANS book. People don't go to  
Sony's web site for books. And they don't go to electronics stores  
for books. So short of selling the ebook reader at B&N, Sony had no  
way of reaching their target market of "people who already buy a lot  
of books."

Amazon does. The Kindle's success is no surprise. Let's just see if  
it lasts.
