I just ran across a particularly interesting 5-star customer review by Steve Gibson entitled
"After several days living with Kindle...". Here's an excerpt:
"I have read a great many long books on my various Palm's, I owned the original Rocket
eBook, and I own both generations of Sony's eInk readers, the PRS-500 and PRS-505. So my
clear bias is that I love the idea of reading books on a "device" and I very much *want* it to
work. Increasingly, slowly, year by year, that hope is being fulfilled."
"But with Amazon's entry into the eBook market I believe that the world of eBooks has turned
an important corner..."
Steve Gibson is one of the few people in a position to be able to compare the Kindle with a
wide spectrum of ebook reading devices, and I consider it significant that he definitely feels
that its plusses outweigh its minuses.
It's also worth mentioning that the product rating of the Kindle has risen from 2.2 stars a
couple of days ago to 3.0 stars today as customers receive their devices and post reviews
based on their personal experience with it.
