Terry Brooks is easier to read than LOTR and just as much fun. Drag her off 
to the library. If you have a small one, then let her go on line with one that 
is bigger and get them transfered down to your library.

Ask for the Young adult section. that is for 12-17.

My friend Linda Joy writes great books for that age group. I was looking for 
my copies, but I have sent them off to my neices.

I was reading Hitchcock at that age and was and still am a voracious reader.
