It would be great to get the word out even further that Silk's Vault 
are not paying authors.  I have also experienced the perils of 
working with Chippewa Press who delayed payments for months and are 
now closing.  However when it comes to working with Loose Id and 
Samhain I have experienced no perils whatsoever and a reasonable 
amount of profit with sales of single titles getting into the 
thousands.

Epublishing is an area where a lot of amateurs decide to start up a 
small business on a shoestring budget.  Predictably, quite a few 
never see out their first year.  This was why I started ERECsite.com 
to report what I think are the two most important facts about 
epublishers (in this case limited to the erotic romance genre).  1) 
are they in trouble and likely to tank and 2) can they sell books.  
Plenty of honest epresses are still pretty much a waste of time of 
you want at least a few hundred readers.

The peril in epublishing is the same as in any publishing, of you are 
not a discriminating reader you may get a crappy book and if you are 
not a discirminating author you might not get paid.  Been there, done 
thatm started the watchdog site.
