If books are like music then the current publishing industry is like the
Top 40 radio stations of the Seventies which refused to play anything
that hadn't been released in the last six months. And then Classic FM
came along and ate their lunch, because with (then) 30 years' worth of
recorded music to choose from, they could put together a much better
programme.
