I'm curious how you come to this number. Are you comparing the
$10/book price to hardcover books?  I buy mainly paperbacks, and that
only rarely now-- most of my books are used from bookstores and online
book swap sites like BookMooch. No eBooks on BookMooch.

I have a Sony reader and a Filament (eBookwise) reader-- the Filament
I got because it was free with content, but the content I have
available doesn't impress me that much, so I mainly use it for reading
scanned documents, like knitting patterns. The Sony I got for the
eInk, and was then very disappointed because, having bought on eBay to
save a few (a very few) bucks, I missed out on the great deal they had
for about $200 of free content. Bummer.

Content is still king. Someone needs to make a device that partners
with everyone's existing DRM.
