An author that vain or naive?
Do such critters really exist? :)

Besides, they list a ton of mainstream authors who can't possibly be
members of Epic 'cuz they died before Epic came along, so I think
their author list simply very deliberately excludes certain
contemporary -- but non-Epic-member -- authors whose works are
otherwise available through Fictionwise.

Epic coughed up a grand (Fictionwise fee) to set up a branded
sub-store. Seems to me it would make more sense to front their own
authors' titles in some unique and prominent manner, but without
avoiding selling whatever else anyone might want from the main pile.
That would just send customers elsewhere and cost Epic sales commissions.

Yeah, similar, but not quite the same.

Big shrug to all of it, really.
I was just curious why someone running an online sub-store might
actively avoid the possibility of making a sale.
