I've been publishing serial novels since 1998. At times, we use a TV  
paradigm to better explain the serial format to people who don't  
really understand it.

For example, a finished novel isn't required for publication. But, I  
do require that people have at least one "season" of 10 to 13 chapters  
finished before I'll post anything.

We use advertisements, but frankly, adverts make about $12/month. The  
affiliate stuff doesn't help any either. I haven't made enough from  
Amazon to get a check yet... after some 6 years as an associate. I  
think my total balance is about $15.
