DRM

DRM is appropriate for some things and not for others.

IMO, you'll do better, even after pbooks are no longer an issue,
doing fiction and mainstream non-fiction without DRM.

But think about high dollar (more than $250 per copy) professional
reference works. DRM on those makes sense, I think. Or consider
niches where there is a culture that approves of piracy even in
pbooks. For example, I have an acquaintance who does books on
clothing patterns in various periods, print only. I gather that she
has a TERRIBLE time with copies being made and offered to all comers,
in ways that really do eat into her sales.

So, in the end, I think this is another case where "it depends" is
the best rule.
