Not so much. I still can't think of myself as a New Yorker, even  
after 20 years. It's nothing like the other places I've lived, and  
the inconveniences it imposes drive me nuts with astonishing  
frequency. It's advantages have less impact on my life, sad to say.  
But it's where my husband's practice is, and it's where a lot of book  
publishing happens, so here we are. <sigh>
