And you're right, that problem doesn't exist for me.
I prefer to read ebooks in thoroughly-adjustable HTML on my laptop's
screen, so I don't buy proprietary ebook formats at all unless I can
convert them to HTML.
I don't care what's latest and/or supposedly greatest on the current
bestseller lists 'cuz I have a few milk cartons full of used
paperbacks that were also once on those lists.
Thanks to ebooks available without proprietary formatting or DRM and
the ready availability of quality used paperbacks, I can wait until
the big pubbers finally get smart about ebooks.
