Ed, the convenience of being able to put an ebook on my device counter balances the DRM issues for me. I don't find reading ebooks "clunky" at all. I'll probably never get an Amazon Kindle since I'm eyeing a Sony Reader. Once (or if, as they seem to be mysteriously dragging their feet on this) Sony follows through with adding Adobe Digital Editions, that means I'll still be able to read my books in ePub or pdf from sites like Fictionwise. No 'd'. :)And you're right, that problem doesn't exist for me.I prefer to read ebooks in thoroughly-adjustable HTML on my laptop'sscreen, so I don't buy proprietary ebook formats at all unless I canconvert them to HTML.I don't care what's latest and/or supposedly greatest on the currentbestseller lists 'cuz I have a few milk cartons full of usedpaperbacks that were also once on those lists. Thanks to ebooks available without proprietary formatting or DRM andthe ready availability of quality used paperbacks, I can wait untilthe big pubbers finally get smart about ebooks.Ed Howdershelt - Abintra PressScience Fiction & Semi-Fictionhttp://www.AbintraPress.comMy Fictionwise Ratings: http://tinyurl.com/26v45 _________________________________________________________________ In a rush?
