The ebooks I buy are cheaper than paperbacks.  Otherwise, I get books from
my public library, which allows me to order books online and then delivers
them to my doorstep for free.  I need to return them to the library, but
even that is easy with their drive-through window.

Occasionally I have wanted to read a book that I couldn't get from the
library.  For example, I was reading Joan Druett's mystery series w/Wiki
Coffin, and for some reason, the library does not have book 2, Shark
Island.  I would have paid full trade paperback price to get that book as an
e-book, even in DRM version (assuming I could read the format on my ebw or
ppc), because I wanted to read it right away!  But I couldn't find it.   I
ended up skipping book 2 and reading books 3 and 4 and the fever wore off.
This sort of thing has happened to me numerous times, which is good because
it saves me $.  If more books were available, I'm sure I would buy even more
books.
