I think young people will still read, but authors will write differently.

Those long, languid character study types of prose (otherwise known as literary fiction), will change. "Literary fiction" will probably look nothing like it did 10 years ago as it will 10 years from now.

Maybe genre fiction will be the at the fore front with "masters" and "hacks" vying for reader attention. Who knows.

But I do believe people will always read something.

I haven't noticed any great surge in my e-book sales, so I'm thinking e-books still have a long way to go. In fact, I don't know very many people who do own e-books. I wish I did, so I could let them know my books are available in that format. I'm still hoping the Iphone, which is so popular, will provide an easier way to download e-books than pdf. I've heard people say the younger generation will go the e-book way, but sometimes I wonder if they won't even want to read books. With everything geared toward immediate gratification, do they have the attention span for reading books?Morgan Mandelhttp://www.morganmandel.com GIRL OF MY DREAMS, A Cinderella Story About A Reality Show Contestant AVAILABLE NOW.
