I looked into it years ago and what was available as a reader was  
really, REALLY basic. And the text quality was AWFUL. I thought about  
writing one myself, but found that it was too deep and wide a problem  
for me and was time I simply didn't have.

I still wish there was:

1) a good ereader program for the GameBoy (even the DS Lite).

2) a decent way to get books on and off the datacard (which tend to be  
large and expensive for single titles)

3) A market available for something smaller than the largest operators.
