As a side note: NY Times (Online) Select went free (and refunded the
remaining $8 of my subscription) because they found they mademore from
advertising than from subscriptions. And I recall Rupert Murdoch
saying that the Wall Street Journal Online would go free as well,
after many years of being subscription.
Dunno about the Financial Times but the wind seems to be blowing the
other direction.
