But those people have day jobs. You can't feed a family on prestige.
In fact, families have this annoying way of thinking that your hobbies
shouldn't interfere with your ability to put food on the table and
shelter over the table.
Result: We will have more dabblers, and when the rubber hits the road,
people will get out of writing books because there's no money in it.
