Sorry, but there are already a couple of the big ones that were signed
with...heck, I posted this at the time...two years ago or so, but I
can't recall which name now. iQuest, perhaps? Anyway, the deal was
that the kids could have the units and download one chapter each of
the textbooks onto it, replacing when the classes moved onto another
chapter.
In addition, a couple of my older daughter's teachers offer the
textbook on CD (NOW! this year...), so the kids can have it at home to
study and do homework with and not carry the heavy books home with
them.
It's just one small step from either of these to completely paperless
classrooms.
