Not necessarily -- they may be following a common pricing strategy --
pick up the folks who REALLY want it and will pay most for it, then
drop the price and get the next lower demand group, and so on. This
is one way of being sure you maximize your profit.
Print publishers do something similar with the hb first, then pb
release.
