When you say "read online," to me that means reading it on a computer
in a browser. Is that what's meant? Or should it have read "read on a
computer?"
I know of very few ebook fans who print the book out. That would
totally defeat the purpose of an ebook. And as has been pointed out,
most ebook formats prohibit printing in any case.
People who read ebooks do so on an electronic device: a computer/
laptop, a PDA, a smartphone or a dedicated ebook reader like the
eBookwise, Sony or Kindle. Again, this speaks to the fact one of the
main joys of ebooks are their portability. Why would someone buy an
ebook then spend more money printing it out rather than just go buy
the print version? The only reason not to is if the book was produced
by a publisher that doesn't do print, and given Lulu's various tiers
of "product," including one with a free set-up, there's really no
reason for a book NOT to be available in print form even if the author
has to do it.
