I'm one of them, and I can and do change font size on the Kindle. I
know some of the others can do that, too. When you gain that ability,
you usually lose the text design, however. (If the lines of smaller
type fill the screen, then when you make the type larger you either
overlap the edges of the screen -- very bad -- or change the line
endings, and the layout flies out the window -- less bad, but not good.)
That's one reason that I'm hoping the next generation of Kindle will
have an on-board h&j engine (hyphenation and justification).
