Yes, they would.
I tend to ride (and drive) as if everyone else on the road is drugged,
blind, and deranged. This being a retirement town, about half the
other drivers on the road at any given time probably have two out of
three of those afflictions.

Granny comes to sunny Florida once a year to see her kids. She'll try
to schedule her eye repairs to fit her visit so she'll have family
support, but she wouldn't dream of asking them to haul her around.
The doc will say 'wait half an hour', but she'll be impatient and out
of the clinic in fifteen or less. That means she'll be on the roads in
her godzilla barge of a Lincoln while she's:
1. still dilated and seeing blurs (can't be more than thirty feet from
a road sign to read it)
2. wearing huge and unfamiliar 'lazer shades' sungoggles
3. typically over-medicated (the American Way!) for other health
issues and somewhat confused
4. looking for where Barkley Ave meets Cortez Blvd (they don't meet)
5. driving slow in the fast lane 'cuz she's sure it'll be a left turn
6. very much in need of a bathroom
7. discussing directions with a son or daughter on a cell phone

It may sound cruel, but when she lunges into my lane, she becomes one
of the best reasons for a Stebel horn on a motorcycle.
