That would be library thing at:

http://www.librarything.com/



Not only can you list all the books you own or have read but it shows you how many you have in common with other people so you can take a look at what they have and see if you want to read any from their library list. This, I have found, is the best way to find out about books because if I have 100 books in common with this person then there is a good chance that I will like other stuff they like. 



This is probably also a good place for authors as they can list the books they have read and written and alert them to others they may like.
