A question:

Why is the participation of "notables" so overwhelmingly important?  
And why cannot a group exist for people who are not "important"? Is  
the administration of the list so overwhelming in terms of time and  
resources that it can't be allowed to wax and wane in its own time?

I personally find this list a good resource where I can talk to people  
who are on the front lines. People on the front lines are not  
necessarily "notable" or "important." Most of the people here are  
small or micro-publishers. Most large publishers were once  small or  
micro.

So my question is, what is wrong with that?
