If you're looking for a compact device to read all formats of eBooks then take a look at the BeBook reader. The big advantage it has over the Sony eBook Reader and the Amazon Kindle is that it handles almost all the popular formats as well as MP3 for audio books.

Oh, and as for netbooks, most of the better ones do NOT use Windows. They use versions of Linux which makes them far more stable and able to read more formats than Microsoft's DRM-filled systems.

A mini-computer is just that--a compact version of a laptop for those  

who don't plan to use it for much word-processing or similar  

functions. It runs on Windows, so what you're proposing to do the the  

HP should be fine. However, if you want to read all your .rb formatted  

ebooks, you'll have to either use another reader program that's  

compatible or reformat them all to something else.
