But then, once the time is up you have to give the book back.
You can't create value out of thin air. Every person who worked on a
book, author, editor, typesetter, had to be paid.
How are they supposed to make a living otherwise?
Piracy is taking and not giving back. It's parasitical behaviour.
Writing and producing books costs money and employs people.
You should not expect to get value for nothing.

Your utopia is not viable in this world.
