Yes but if I see I an exe I have no idea that it is a DNL file and have to assume it is a virus unless proven otherwise. Data files are much better to send around as the execution depends on something else.

Also there are many computers and ebook readers that cannot read Windows .exe files e.g. dedicated eBook readers, Macs, many netbooks - do you want to limit your audience
