If you sit tight you [this is a general you, rather than 
you, Marion] play no part in that decision. It is very 
important, I believe, to express one's view on an issue, 
hopefully in a way that has some sort of impact.

For creatives copyright is the life blood. It establishes a 
right to be rewarded for one's efforts. Many are employed, 
one way or another, in serving this industry that makes the 
rewards real - or at least in prospect. I do not see how 
this would work for a vibrant culture if it were removed or 
undermined.
