No offense, but DUH. If you'd read what I wrote, you'd see that I was
talking about how they gave themselves black eyes over this, and yes...the
publisher DID. They didn't load it, but the choice to have Amazon take back
the copies is being blamed just as much on them as on Amazon. It didn't have
to go down that way, but it did.

That was what the case ASKED for, according to the briefs I've read. Whether
they continued to use it or not, they couldn't demand back sold copies.

Those same practical reasons apply to most e-book resellers. Again, read the
post, in whole. Amazon is one of the few that can do the yank back routine.
Most of them can remove something from the library shelf but cannot take
back what someone has already downloaded.
