The question is - are these characters' deviant behaviors part of the story, or are they simply gratuitous?
If the former, no one has any business telling you what to write, simply because it offends them.
If the latter, well, it's gratuitous. In that case, I would probably put the book down and scratch the author's name from my roster of authors to read.
Thanks for asking. In one of my novels-in-progress, I had a scene involving sexual behavior that sort of developed my protagonists' character, but I now see that I don't need to use it.
