English is largely a Germanic language with a lot of Latin/Romance language
mixed in. To a lesser extent, English borrows from everything out there, so
you'll find Greek, Slavic, Native American, and all manner of other words in
there somwhere. None of which has ANYTHING to do with DRM. Are you trying to
make no sense? Please, at least make sense when you spend that long setting
something up.
I'd HIGHLY disagree that most of the books we want are DRMd. That may be
true for you, but that doesn't hold true for everyone. Not nearly. I have a
lot of friends that want almost nothing but out of copyright classics,
especially out of copyright resource books, which they get without DRM, for
instance. I also hang out with a lot of people that prefer indie press,
either for the business practices or the books offered (or both). Only five
of the dozens of autobuy authors I have are in NY conglomerate. Most are
indie. I'm not alone here. Sorry, just another justification, in my book.
I'd disagree that most pirates don't even think about it. From my
experience, it's a small number that don't think about it. Most of them seem
to have some justification for what they're doing. Even you do. Shrug.
It doesn't matter what you said or meant, Barry. The fact is, any excuse you
give a pirate, you give to all pirates. Excuses aren't something selective,
and you can't rationalize that only "incidental sharers" should get to use
an excuse, because that's "okay" somehow.
