The idea is not to fulfill her (unreasonable) request financially. The
idea is to make her feel heard and validated emotionally. It's far
easier to say, "Oh, this just isn't the book for me, I shouldn't buy
anymore," than to say, "oh, I am a collossal bigot who should get bent!"
