What makes you want to read beyond the cover or blurb?

Hi,
As a new author, I was wondering this:

What makes you want to read a book after viewing the cover and/or reading the book blurb?

I know as an avid fantasy reader, a lot of my selections were stupidly based on author credibility. Others, I would flick thru the pages and get a feel for how the author managed simple imagery or dialogue.
