Re: Ebook awards in general

Hi Ed,
I wanted to let you know that we have posted a video which helps to
spell out the benefits of entering our Global eBook Awards this year.
I certainly understand all your reasons for NOT entering, but I want to
make sure that you know all the reasons FOR entering.
We're trying to do more than other eBook awards are currently doing but
it doesn't make us better or in opposing competition. In fact, we list
other eBook awards on our site and we encourage authors to use them for
feedback and, if they win, some recognition.
We're going to do a bit more each applicant by putting a page for each
eBook with a link to that eBook's sales page to make it easier for
people browsing our contest to buy immediately if they like your eBook
based on what you have submitted with your application.
Is it about marketing? Is it about prestige? Is it about feedback?
Hopefully, it's all of that and more, but it's certainly not about just
one aspect. There are benefits to all these things. You can't retire on
prestige and you can't make a sale if your marketing is non-existent.
You can't do what writers do well without someone helping you to do it
better.
Please take another look at our site now that we have added a video.
You might like what you see and consider the investment worthwhile.
How many referrals from our site to yours will make it worth it to you?
We intend to send you as many as possible and we hope that if you enter
that you will do the same...and ask them to comment on the page for your
eBook because the judges will be reading it!!
