Ed, thanks for being willing to put a page up for us on your site. We look
forward to having you in our competition! Just a note: you'll see a link for
PayPal but you can also use credit cards and if that's not good you can send
a check in the mail or MO.

We have a really great PR person on our team who will be sending folks our
way using her press release magic and, if visitors see your category and
your eBook, then this will actually be cheaper than starting a Google
AdWords campaign to do the same thing. And we're keeping your eBook page on
our site in perpetuity once you enter. So, who knows how many clicks that
will net you over the years? I'm sure it will work out to less than what you
would pay Google for the same number of clicks (and I know a lot about
Google AdWords).

One thing our site can do for eBook authors is to get them and their eBook
to come up on searches on Google when people search by category. So, if your
eBook is on wild game cooking, someone who types "wild game cooking ebook"
can find a match for you on our site and then they can go to yours if they
like what they see. Some people, if they are not already at the top of
Google when searching by full name (like you are), will benefit greatly by
having their name and site coming up higher on Google searches. For folks
who are just getting started with their Internet Marketing, this is a BIG
boost for them.

So while it's true that you personally may not benefit as much from our
awards others because you either don't care about certain benefits or you
already have the rest of them covered, but please do give us a positive
recommendation for those who aren't as well-suited as you. We don't have to
go as far for eBooks entered as we are, but we want to try to do something
more than just recognize great writing.

On second thought, you just might benefit after all since it'd be great if
you entered and came out to Santa Barbara for the awards because you seem
like a pretty interesting guy based on your bio (Kinda spooky that we have
some things in common.). You just might have some fun and you might meet
some great folks and every one can benefit from fun and new connections. I
promise it will be less virtual than a Yahoo! Group.
