[snip a whole lot of snipe] I said it before...hopeless. Look, if you
haven't even mastered the basics of submitting to a publisher, we have
nothing to discuss. You are trying to apply your own little corner of
creation to every author in the world, and that's not going to work. It's
nice that you've never had to learn what the bulk of professional authors
submitting have to do, but most of us do it and know the value of it.

Have you given me any REASON to go to your site? Nope, and so I see no
reason to go there, which would be a fault in you (thinking you have some
magical draw) and not me. You have nothing of interest in your tag line.
It's what I call a laundry list tag line in my class on marketing. Try
saying anything at all of interest in it and I might be motivated to go
check it out.

She made a request of full projects from me, which is further than most
people get, and I didn't approach HER for the chance; she came to me. Sadly,
she passed away a few years after this, which is a shame. I liked her a lot.
The projects didn't make it past her marketing department, but we all know
that's half the problem with conglomerate shops...letting the bean counters
choose the projects to sign, and mind you I have degrees in bean counting
and still believe that's a huge mistake. I have made sales to indie editors
with what I do...plenty of them, and some of them come to me, too. I don't
have to search out every company or project I work on/with, though I vett
them all before taking them on. More than 85 signed contracts in, I must be
doing SOMETHING right. Grin...

Which I accept. I just DON'T and never will accept you treating others like
errant, clueless children for succeeding at something you dislike.

Nope, but guess what? NY conglomerate only gets my attention once in a
while, as either a test or as part of a larger plan that you probably
wouldn't appreciate. I'm doing quite well in indie and happy here. But these
same things work with moving to larger indies, which I have done several
times in my career. So...again, they aren't useless to everyone.
