Need help with my Nook !!! Please !!

I keep hearing about other Nook e-reader owners 'rooting' their Nook and now they have the android market. Is it safe and what about the warranty? Also, I added addresses (name/e-mail) to my contacts...now how do I get to the lendable books that my contacts have? I tried to click on the names/emails and I thought that persons' list would come up.... Did I put the addresses in the wrong spot? Its very confusing on how to use the Lend Me feature without a list to pick from . And is there a better way to put in the name/e-mails all at once instead of one by one? If so, please tell me how to do it !!!
