Corporate piracy?

I wonder if a certain amount of de facto piracy is going on by default or error at some of the large ebook resellers.

I found Jolie Howard titles at Borders, supplied by Kobo, and listing me as the publisher.

Ed Howdershelt Publishing USED to publish those titles, but hasn't for over a year. My outfit has no contracts or agreements with either Borders or Kobo and I'm receiving no payments from them.

Lightning Source may be supplying them with MY titles, but I haven't placed Howard's titles with LS.
Howard says she hasn't placed her titles with them.
So where are they getting them?
Emails to Kobo have gone unanswered other than some automated 'we got it' replies. Might be they aren't getting through for some reason. I'll try to call them tomorrow.

Your thoughts?
Have you checked to see that every outfit selling your titles is legit?
