A poor comparison. Schools are notorious for being myopic, hypersensitive, heavy-handed, and hard-headed with little or no adaptability that isn't forced upon them by hefty lawsuits or court orders.
They like to buy pre-packaged, no-brainer 'solutions' and leave the thinking to other people. If that weren't the case, middle schoolers wouldn't be prevented from searching for 'Paganini' because it contains the word 'pagan'.

I'd like to provide a list of authorized sources for my books and have the SEs mention only those sources.
I'm not even slightly worried about the thieves who wouldn't be able to push their 'torrentz', 'warez', or 'sharez'.
Schools may be deaf, dumb, and blind to adaptation, but the free market can sort out errors as necessary.

'radically curtailing the effectiveness'? With a few piratical key words? :) Heh.
Strongly stated, Jon.
*Defensively* stated, actually. And with apparent great relief.
Why the great relief to think that piracy is unstoppable?
Just curious.
