Re: will everyone concerned about copyright please read this

Ah! The problems of colloquial speech when written! I should have 
written 'to subborn copyright' or 'to licences that are normally in the 
gift of the copyright owner'. So you are right Chris, on the literal 
interpretations of what I wrote; they are not handed copyright. What I 
intended to claim was that what they are about to be given will 
seriously undermine copyright, and thus the livelihoods of a lot of people.

And here I am pretty much in agreement. It is the same 'thin end of the 
wedge' risks that exist with 'orphans' [graphically and inexplicably 
illustrated by Hathi Trust] and other Google 'universal knowledge' 
suggestions.
